Catfish sweep Asheville

The Columbus Catfish completed a sweep of the Asheville Tourists (Rockies) Tuesday night.

Columbus Catfish P Jesse Darcy out-dueled Asheville Tourists (Rockies) starter Connor Graham as the Catfish won their 4th straight game, 2-1 Monday night.
The win secures a series win against the division’s first half champions, and sets up a possible sweep Tuesday night.

Catfish win 11-inning thriller

A 1-1 pitchers’ duel went to extra innings Thursday night.
Things looked bad for the Columbus Catfish when the Augusta GreenJackets (Giants) scored 4 runs in the 11th. But a 5-run bottom of the inning, capped by 3B Greg Sexton’s 3-run homer, gave the Catfish a 6-5 win.

The Columbus Catfish fell behind early and couldn’t recover.
The Greenville Drive (Red Sox) held on to beat the Catfish tonight, 4-1, in the opener of a 4-game home series.

Catfish drop finale, end 2-6 road trip

The Columbus Catfish were unable to earn a split with the Lexington Legends (Astros) Wednesday night.
The Catfish only allowed 4 hits by Lexington batters, but that was enough as they blanked the Catfish 2-0. The final hit by Lexington was a 2-run homer by Lexington’s Kyle Miller that accounted for all the scoring.
