Links Policy
Feb 11th, 2007 by Basil
We get requests for “link exchanges.” That is, people writing saying, essentially, “Link to me and I’ll link to you.”
We don’t do that.
If you want to link to us, great. If we want to link to you, we will. In fact, many places on our blogroll don’t link to us. We don’t care if they don’t link to us. We link to them because we think they’re interesting. We may or may not agree with them on things, but we do think they’re interesting.
So don’t write and ask to exchange links. I’ll just send you a link to this page. Then you’ll get all mad at me and say dirty words and kick your cat. Don’t mistreat your cat.
If this policy upsets you and makes you not want to link to me, then don’t link to me. I’ll link to you (or not) regardless.
So, if you send me a request to link to a post of yours, I probably will ignore it. Or send you a link to this page. Then you’ll get mad at me and say dirty words and kick your cat … and you should be nice to your cat, okay?
Oh, and if you want me to link to a post of yours, don’t ask me to. Just use the Inline TrackBacks feature. Read our TrackBacks policy … or our Open TrackBacks policy … for more.
