Catfish Win In 16

The Columbus Catfish blew a 2-run lead in the 9th, but batted around in the 16th to take the second game of the series with the Rome Braves Sunday, 8-3.

Biscuits Fall In 11

A solo homer in the top of the 11th inning spoiled a Sunday afternoon Kids’ Day for the Montgomery Biscuits. The Biscuits bullpen didn’t allow a hit after a meaningless single in the 5th inning … until the game-winning dinger in the 11th, but would up with the 2-1 loss to the Huntsville Stars (Brewers).

Catfish Best Braves

The second road trip of the season for the Columbus Catfish began well Saturday night, as they defeated the Rome Braves (Braves, duh) 7-1.
RR John Matulia went 5-for-5, a home-run short of the cycle, to lead the Catfish 12-hit attack. LF Ryan Royster was 3-for-4, with 3 doubles on the night.

Biscuits Return Home With Win

In a rematch of the 2006 Southern League championship series, the Montgomery Biscuits battled back and forth with the Huntsville Stars (Brewers), winning 7-6.
