Or we could be a movement that elects the people we need. I have a site that asks 470 conservative Americans to run for federal office.

Thank you

I'll have to get over here more often. Either by luck of the draw on posts I have a chance to read or that the number of bloggers with the view expressed here are rare, I don't find many that share my right leaning non-partisan view.

Yes, you're correct. Stopping funding of the GOP would benefit the <del>Taliban</del> Democrats. But the Republicans know that ... and would panic.

The benefit to the Dems would only last until the GOP came around. I'm proposing that we still do without the money we'd otherwise have contributed ... by putting it into a savings account.

When the GOP comes around ... and they will ... we can release the money. But not until the GOP comes around.

Is it satire? It might read like it. But it's less satire than the GOP and Democrats themselves.

Is this risky? Might it play into the hands of the Dems? Sure. If the GOP doesn't come around, they're not worth supporting anyway. The Dems are still worth opposing, but the GOP isn't worth supporting. Until they get their act together.

Whether we are 'party' people or not, we live the outcomes of party politics. Would it be fair to say that if those who typically fund the GOP stopped, even with getting their attention, the immediate benefit would go to the other major party? And that would negate any benefit of getting their attention. I say this because unless the 'ye who has the most money wins' program in American politics is removed universally, the balance under this scenario would shift all political power to the other side.
But then I am not sure how much of this is satire or serious.
